Black Venezuela Corys are dark-colored schooling catfish that make a bold contrast over pale sand. Each unit is one 3-3.5 cm fish. Keep them in a 20 gal mature community aquarium at 72-79 F and pH 6.0-7.5; feed quality sinking omnivore foods and occasional frozen foods.

Care notes

Keep Corydoras in a group on smooth sand or another non-abrasive substrate with clean, oxygen-rich water and shaded cover. Feed sinking foods after tankmates have eaten and maintain the bottom carefully so barbels stay healthy. A group of at least six is preferred when inventory permits.
