Amano Shrimp are active, larger-bodied algae grazers that work well in peaceful planted aquariums. Each unit is one Large shrimp. Keep them in a 10 gal mature aquarium at 68-80 F and pH 6.5-7.8; feed algae, biofilm, shrimp foods, and blanched vegetables.
Animal data
Keep Amano shrimp in a mature, covered aquarium with gentle-to-moderate flow, secure filter intakes, stable minerals, and plenty of surfaces for grazing. Feed only enough supplemental shrimp food or vegetables to support the group after natural algae and biofilm are considered.
