Tank-raised L183 Starlight Bristlenose Pleco juveniles offered at approximately 1.5 in. Dark bodies, pale spots, and white fin edging characterize this line. Animal data
Keep L183 Starlight Bristlenose Plecos in a mature, well-filtered aquarium with strong aeration, low nitrate, driftwood, shaded cover, and several tight caves. Target 76-82 F, pH 6.0-7.5, and soft to moderately hard water. Feed a varied sinking omnivore diet with invertebrate or other protein foods alongside vegetables and algae-based foods. Plan for an adult aquarium footprint of about 48 x 18 inches; a juvenile grow-out tank needs an upgrade before the fish outgrow it. Provide extra caves if keeping several juveniles together so the fish can settle without constant competition.
