Keep L183 Starlight Bristlenose Plecos in a mature, well-filtered aquarium with strong aeration, low nitrate, driftwood, shaded cover, and several tight caves. Target 76-82 F, pH 6.0-7.5, and soft to moderately hard water. Feed high-quality sinking pleco foods, vegetable-forward gel foods, algae wafers, fresh vegetables, and occasional protein treats. Provide extra caves if keeping several juveniles together so the fish can settle without constant competition.
